Launched in November 2025 the Haven Project was established in direct response to a significant increase in addiction among young people, with a particular focus on the misuse of Ketamine and Cocaine. Recognising that conventional interventions often have notable limitations in meeting these emerging challenges, the Haven Project was formed as a collaborative effort Bringing together the Friends of Lydney Hospital & Health Trust, the West Forest Primary Care Network, the Integrated Locality Partnership and Wye Dean Wellbeing. Through this collaboration, the project delivers professional and innovative local support and rehabilitation services. Working with their partners, Wye Dean Wellbeing specifically designed these services to offer genuine, practical alternatives to standard treatment approaches, aiming to better address the complex needs of those facing addiction within their own communities, including investing in a new online support group for young people and an in-person support group for men. With continued commitment and collaboration, the Haven Project is poised to continue to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of those in need in our community.
